The Bible
We believe the Bible to be the written word of God, our final authority for faith and life. (2 Timothy 3: 16-17; 2 Peter 1: 20- 21)
The Godhead
We believe in one God, consisting of the Father, the Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in attributes, power and glory. (Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19)
The Person and Work of Christ
1. We believe Jesus Christ is both God and man. (John 1: 1, 2, 14; Philippians 2: 5-8)
2. We believe that Christ came into the world to save sinners. (Matthew 18: 11; 1 Timothy 1: 15)
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
1. We believe that the Holy Spirit convicts men of sin. (John 16: 7-11)
2. We believe that upon salvation the Holy Spirit indwells every believer (John 14: 16-17; 1 Corinthians 3:16; Romans 8: 9), seals every believer (2 Corinthians 1; 22; Ephesians 1: 13-14;4:30), and baptizes every believer (1 Corinthians 12: 13).
3. It is the privilege and duty of all believers to be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5: 18; Galatians 5: 16-17, 25).
Man
Man is made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), and by nature does not obey God (Romans 1:21-23; 3:10-18, 23; 5:12; Psalm 51:5)
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift of God received only by those who have repented of their sin who make a willful decision to repent from sin and put their faith in Christ. (Ephesians 1: 13-14; 2: 8-9; Romans 3: 24; 6:23; 10: 9-10; John 1:12; 5:24)
Future State
We believe in the “blessed hope” (Titus 2: 11-14) of Christ’s coming again for believers (1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18), who shall live eternally in the presence of God (John 11:25-26; 14:6; 1 Thessalonians 1:10), and the eternal separation from God of those who reject salvation through Christ (2 Thessalonians 1:7-10).
